These quests are unlocked by either paying for many treaties, leading to The Feast, or by destroying enough Corsair ships, leading to The Last Contingent. The Alliance will be signed after the player shows their worth to the Corsairs by completing one of two quests.
Ultimately, the player will be able to fraternise with the Corsairs and create a permanent Alliance with Hassan ben Sahid. He will send out Corsair ships to roam the region, attacking ships of those who do not pay for treaties with him. In Continuous games he will be hard to avoid, however, assuming Corsairs are active. They never set up a bandit camp, just went away in the coffin ship, off the map. After 4 or 5 times, they don't come any more, even if I let the game going for 3 or 4 hours (irl). Of course, I try very lengthy games, rejecting beggars at sea as soon as they appear, But It is true that, before, I mostly welcomed them in my cities, but still. my stats says that I have only killed 11/50 bandits. I can promise you that this Gold Ship Achievement is really the most difficult one since I play, and at 64, having played since IBM made the PC XT decades ago (even with my Sinclair then Commodore.), I have a very long tracking record. Since 2011/2012, then 2014/2017, then 2022/2023, I have played perhaps +1000 hours on the various versions, especially before "History". Killing armies is just a question of patience, and being very rude with my warmonger opponents (Marie, Lucius, Constanza) in a customised game where I take great care of not destroying them, simply teasing them.īut the Bandits!!! How ugly. and 50 bandit camps (Who is this "Robin"?! ). I just did all High Council quests (a pain in the.) waiting for me since 2017, and the only 2 missing achievements are: killing 500 armies (Merely a continuation of politics). I am just about to finish the insane Gold Ship achievement.
